December 04, 2025

YORK, PA — Tec Centro York celebrated a significant milestone for the York County community on Thursday, December 4, as graduates, families, community partners, and local leaders gathered at Keystone Kidspace for a graduation ceremony honoring adult learners who completed workforce training programs this month.

The 10:00 a.m. ceremony recognized more than 50 graduates from Tec Centro York’s Certified Nurse Aide (CNA), Medical Assistant, Phlebotomy, and Level 4 ESL programs, marking a powerful step forward for both the graduates and the region’s workforce.

With healthcare systems and employers across York County continuing to face workforce shortages, Tec Centro York’s graduates are entering the labor market equipped with industry-recognized credentials, practical skills, and the confidence to pursue family-sustaining careers.

“Today’s graduates represent resilience, determination, and possibility,” said AliceAnne Frost, Executive Director of Tec Centro York. “Many of our students balance work, family, and significant personal challenges while completing these programs. This graduation is not just a celebration of certificates earned, but of lives changed and futures strengthened.”

The ceremony featured remarks from State Representative Carol Hill Evans and York County President Commissioner Julie Wheeler, both of whom highlighted the importance of workforce development, access to education, and programs that remove barriers for adult learners.

Programs represented in the graduating class prepare individuals for careers in high-demand healthcare roles, as well as advanced English language proficiency that supports long-term career advancement and community engagement. Graduates leave Tec Centro York with employer connections, wraparound support, and the tools needed to succeed in the workforce.
