WHAT IS TEC CENTRO YORK?
Established in 2021 by business, community, and philanthropic leaders with the desire to address the career development inequalities in marginalized neighborhoods across the county, the York Community Resource Center’s Tec Centro York emerged. We collaborate with the Tec Centro Workforce Network and the Spanish American Civic Association (SACA), which has been the primary provider of bilingual education and workforce training in the Lancaster community. Tec Centro York is an independent, neighborhood-based 501(c)(3) organization governed by local leaders. We are dedicated to helping people discover their potential by advancing their education and training to secure satisfying, family-sustaining jobs and to end the cycle of poverty. Our training programs serve as a local economic stimulus.

WHO DOES TEC CENTRO YORK SERVE?
Tec Centro York serves those who are unemployed and underemployed by training them for in-demand careers in our community. Many of our clients are adult learners who are working full-time but who do not earn enough to support their families. Our adult students pay an average of $100 (a small registration fee, uniform, and textbook, if needed). However, the actual cost of their education, which is approximately $6,500, is underwritten by Tec Centro York through our generous community partners and individuals like you.
HOW CAN YOU HELP?
We need your help to support those who are working to discover their potential! Your financial donation, regardless of its size, will help to uplift and encourage those who want to work and experience “the American Dream.”
